How to keep your adjudicator happy

In April 2019 Jane Ryland gave a presentation along with John Wright (both construction adjudicators) to the Society of Construction Law, Kent branch entitled “How to keep your Adjudicator happy.” 

The talk looked at various aspects including the content of the Notice of Intention to Refer and the realistic timescale for the process, threshold jurisdiction, presentation of submissions, drafting techniques, use of a single bundle, considering who has the burden of proof, showing calculations in full including treatment of retention, discounts and vat where applicable, and the suitability of meetings.
