Jonathan Gold
Jonathan is regarded as a leading construction lawyer. Chambers UK asserts “observers highlight Jonathan Gold as being ‘very impressive, very sensible and commercially minded’” and in Legal 500 he is described as ‘responsive and diligent’.
Jonathan has been a specialist construction and engineering lawyer throughout his career: he worked for Shadbolt LLP in its construction group (with secondments to Atkins and Galliford Try); he then moved permanently in house for four years with Laing O’Rourke, before returning to Shadbolt LLP, where he became a partner. Jonathan is a founding partner of Sheridan Gold LLP.
Jonathan has worked on a wide variety of construction, engineering and infrastructure projects in different sectors. Jonathan is very experienced in the avoidance or resolution of disputes arising in the construction and engineering industry, including on PFI/PPP schemes. He has particular experience of adjudication, litigation in the Technology and Construction Court and construction arbitration, as well as alternative dispute resolution processes such as mediation. He also has extensive experience in drafting and negotiating all forms of construction contract documentation.
